용서는 하나님의 용서를 먼저
생각하는 것으로부터 시작됩니다.
다른 사람을 향한 용서는 우리
편의 어떤 선행이 아니라,
우리가 용서받은 자라는
감사로부터 출발하는 것입니다.

우리는 예수님을 통해 하나님의
엄청난 용서를 받은 사람들입니다.
하나님께 조건 없는 용서를
받은 그 감격으로 다른 사람을
용서할 수 있습니다.

누군가를 용서하는 일이 도덕적
의무감이나 율법적 책임감에서
시작될 때, 용서는 세상에서
가장 어려운 일이 됩니다.

하지만 내가 하나님의 용서와
긍휼을 입은 사람이라는
감격으로부터 시작하면,
다른 사람을 용서하는 삶을
비로소 시작할 수 있습니다.
